In almost every city here in Metro Manila, food parks are becoming a part of someone’s weekend stop whether to unwind, satisfy a craving, hang out with friends and spend quality time with family.
The night lights, noise, groovy music, food aroma and the variety of food to choose from make these food parks very inviting not only to the youngsters but to all food maniacs.
Getting to ‘The Yard Underground – Pasig’
‘The Yard Underground’ is located at #207 Hillcrest Circle Barangay Oranbo, Pasig City. From Edsa-Shaw Boulevard, take a jeepney/FX bound for Pasig and alight at Moneygram/ BDO Capitol or Nice Hotel Pasig. Turn left on Christian Route and walk straight ahead until you reach ‘The Yard Underground – Pasig’ which is in front of Dahlia Hotel.
Expenses (Php 315.00)
Jeepney (EDSA-Shaw to Christian Route) – Php 8.00
Jeepney (Christian Route to EDSA-Shaw) – Php 8.00
Buffalo Wings – Original Sauce / Large (Php 225.00 / 3 pax) – Php 75.00
Buffalo Wings – Honey Garlic / Large (Php 225.00 / 3 pax) – Php 75.00
Fried Squid with rice (Php 350.00 / 3 pax) – Php 116.00
Juice Drink / 1 Pitcher (Php 100.00 / 3 pax) – Php 33.00
The food park is not as big as Mercato Centrale of 26th Street in BGC but it has plenty of food offerings to all of its visitors. The park opens at 4:00 pm and closes, I guess between 12:00 am and 1:00 am. I am unsure of the exact closing time since my friends and I left around 11:30 pm. Parking along the street of Christian Route is allowed but trust me, the slots are limited. So, better be early or be a public commuter. It’ll be less hassle for you.
So what are you waiting for!?!? Block your calendar this weekend and enjoy food trippin’.
